The Freeware Network as already up and running. Some pages and functionality need some fixing, but we are working on these issues and hope to have everything in order soon.
Free software downloads are ready and all related pages are fully functional.
The Freeware Network is Back
After almost two years in the dark, the Freeware Network is back. We are back with a lot of new plans, with a lot of new safe freeware downloads and with the good old fwnetwork.com domain name.
In the near future we are planning to improve the look and feel of the Freeware Network and bring it up to date.
Freeware Network is upgrading
We are happy to announce that good old Freeware Network is going through a process of upgrading. Not only in terms of design but more important in terms of what it will offer to our users.

In recent years, the open source movement has established a respectful position in the software industry. Many enterprises have embraced open source platform and applications and some of the software giants has adopted open source strategically: IBM, Novell, Oracle and even Google, to name a few.

Freeware vs. Free Software
There is some confusion in regards to the relation between freeware and free software. Some claim freeware is not free software. Is there or isn’t there a difference between the two.
